PAV (Personal Aerial Vehicle) Ducted Fan

A personal aerial vehicle or PAV is a class of light general aviation aircrafts that meet a specialized set of design and performance goals intended to make flying as commonplace as driving.

With design expertise and assistance of AVID LLC; Munro & Associates successfully demonstrated their latest ducted fan at the 2007 EAA AirVenture Air Show in Oshkosh, WI. Munro tasked AeroComposites, Inc. (ACI) with developing a composite structure ducted-propeller for the NASA PAV fan. ACI partnered with AVID LLC experts for aerodynamic design assistance to ensure delivery on NASA's next generation personal air vehicle design goals of high performance, efficiency, and low noise levels.

AVID LLC's innovative aerodynamic design of the ducted fan blades enabled its partners to produce a viable fan for NASA's requirements.
