AVID LLC Provides Gift of Community Service

PRESS RELEASE, July 14, 2006

On July 14, 2006 AVID LLC announces its continued commitment to surrounding communities having raised approximately $500.00 in donations to the United Way Community Yard Sale. The Community Yard Sale was held June the 22nd, with all proceeds benefiting the various Community Partners under the United Way of Montgomery, Radford and Floyd.

By providing items for the yard sale, employees supported nonprofit organizations which service the New River Valley. Earlier in the year, AVID LLC spent a portion of its employee day working for the Women's Resource Center of the New River Valley by building new bunk beds and moving furniture. "If it were not for support from AVID LLC and its employees," said Pat Brown, Executive Director of the Women's Resource Center, "we would not have been able to complete such a large and wonderful project in such a small time-frame. We couldn't be happier; it was a huge success." AVID LLC's next service opportunity comes with the summer Montgomery County Emergency Assistance Program's (MCEAP) food pantry. Please visit the United Way website for more information: www.unitedwaynrv.org.
