June 22, 2007 - Honeywell (www.honeywell.com) announced June 18th that its “Micro Air Vehicle (MAV) is set to deploy in IRAQ to keep American troops safer by identifying improvised explosive devices (IEDs) from the sky. Software design tools include AVID OAV for modeling and simulation of ducted fan vehicles, AVID ACS for modeling and simulation of fixed wing vehicles, AVID PAGE for rapid geometry definition, and AVID SPOT for evaluating sensor and aircraft performance.
